The road to recovery after the Eaton Fire has been long and hard. But your community β and county, and state, have been showing up. If you’re feeling overwhelmed by the rebuilding process or simply don’t know where to turn, here are some things you may not know that could make a real difference.
Did You Know the LA County One-Stop Permitting Center Is Open, Right Here in Altadena?
Navigating permits and regulations after losing your home can feel impossible. The good news: you don’t have to figure it out alone. The LA County One-Stop Recovery Permitting Center is open and serving Eaton Fire survivors at:

Hours:
- Monday β Friday: 9:30 a.m. β 6:00 p.m.
- Saturday: 8:00 a.m. β 1:00 p.m.
- Appointments also available Monday, Wednesday & Friday starting at 8:30 a.m.
At the One-Stop Center, you can access free services, including:
- Help obtain rebuilding permits, plan reviews, and approvals
- Guidance on permitting requirements and zoning regulations
- No-cost consultations with officials from LA County’s Public Works, Fire, and Regional Planning Departments
- Free advice on fire-resistant building materials and defensible space requirements
- Answers to questions about debris removal and environmental health concerns
- Information on temporary housing options during reconstruction
- Support navigating insurance claims, grants, and funding options

It’s home to the Eaton Fire Collaborative, the Long-Term Recovery Group, the Community Recovery Group, and the Leadership Council β all under one roof and all working for you.
