Genesis Builders Breaks Ground on First of More Than 30 Home Rebuilds in Altadena
The Registry March 3, 2026
LOS ANGELES, March 2, 2026 – Genesis Builders, a turnkey rebuilding solution for homeowners impacted by the Eaton Fire in Altadena, has broken ground on its first home rebuild in the community. The two-story Mediterranean-style home is scheduled for completion by the end of 2026, as part of Genesis Builders’ 12-month completion guarantee once construction begins.
“We are thrilled to begin construction on the first of many Genesis home rebuilds in Altadena,” said Devang Shah, Principal at Genesis Builders. “We understand the immense challenges families face after losing their homes in the Eaton Fire, and our goal is to help them return home faster and with fewer hurdles.”
The homeowner of Genesis Builders’ first rebuild is the company’s own Senior Director of Business Development, Rebecca Zandovskis, who lost her home in the Eaton Fire. Zandovskis joined Genesis Builders from its sister company Cityview, which founded Genesis Builders through a joint venture with Montage Development. Zandovskis is rebuilding her own home with Genesis Builders while helping dozens of the company’s clients do the same.
“It is especially fitting that Rebecca’s home is the first to break ground,” said Sean Burton, CEO of Cityview. “She has helped shape Genesis from the beginning, and now she is walking homeowners through every step of their rebuilds while going through the same experience herself.”
In total, the firm is currently working with more than 30 Altadena families to help them rebuild and in discussions with many more.
To streamline the rebuilding process, Genesis Builders offers 24 home plans pre-approved by Los Angeles County, significantly reducing permitting timelines and eliminating unexpected delays. Pricing is fixed upfront, with homes starting at $692,900. Homeowners can choose from six home plans and four locally inspired architectural styles: Mediterranean, Traditional, Craftsman, and Bungalow.
“Genesis Builders’ fixed timelines, transparent pricing, pre-approved plans and 10-year warranty give homeowners greater confidence and peace of mind during an otherwise overwhelming process,” said Stephen Ross, Principal at Genesis Builders.
All Genesis homes are designed with fire-resistant features, and homeowners can personalize their residences with designer-selected finishes and upgrades, including pre-approved Accessory Dwelling Units (ADUs).
